The calm after the storm..

Had to work overtime quite recently. When I looked at the my attendance sheet, I had accumulated a lot of hours. I predict will do some more OT. Last tuesday night, I had to arrange for a night seminar, "Latest updates of Innovation and Quality Circles (IQCs) in Singapore. Ihad fun though. For the first time, this speaker kept grabbing our attention, and all of us laughed throughout the session. Azean (or Yan, as we affectionally call her,) made my work fun. Overall, the experience is a pleasant one, with Mr Tan Kheok Juay kept us laughing and the funnie cartoons being shown on the slides are fun. The food is not enough, and we almost had full house of participants.

I was told to get fun pictures, catching them unnoticed. We did, with the person staring into space. The next one was a guy pointing into space..

When the session ended, there is a funny story waiting for us to happen. We walked out of Times Educational Services Pte Ltd and into an area where pubs were located. Seeing other people drinking and having the time of their lives..

Decided to wait for a taxi.. Waited for 15 mins, got frustrated, and ran to the other side of the road. Did the same again, and retreated to the bus stop in front of us.

Boarded bus 143 initially, and along the way, it stopped at Harbour Front. Yan, on impulse, asked me whether I wanted to alight there and take a taxi. I did, and found ourselves standing again. From far, we spotted a taxi coming towards us. I was in a slumber mood at that time. I said weakly to Yan, ' there's a taxi.. catch it..'

She flagged her hand as hard as she could, but, being dressed all in black, the taxi driver couldn't spot us. Just then, a taxi zoomed past us, attracting our attention.
Yan's face whipped to the right, and she flagged madly to catch him. It stopped, and we gog in, laughing uncontrollably. Both of us were looking at the left, and didn't bother looking the other way..

I think without her, I would have lost my energy to do my work. She pointed out that your colleagues make your work pass faster, and makes it enjoyable.

Her sunny attitude and her talkative nature had us laughing nonstop for the day. She told jokes, did her work. She is a true enigma. SQI Office had never been livelier without her.

Once, I brought in the papers, with the intention to read it. She asked me, Dilla, you want to find another work? Dun lah.. Stay with me.. Work with me for a longer time..

I kept looking at the screen, but I was touched after what she said. When I had the time, I thought over things and realised I had to change my attitude. From now onwards, I must do it. Earn the respect of others.

Now, to my next topic, I celebrated Hajjar's birthday. I went out of office on the dot. Reached City hall a few minutes later. I went towards Marina Square Long John Silver in a bad mood. When I reached it, it subsided. I began to chat with her, an she showed me the pix she took in Sentosa with Targa and Tiffany.. I had to admit the pix are nice, and damn clear (Mind you, 6 mega pixels) Everyone looked like a model in those..

Hajjar requested to go to Esplanade ( on the roof). I felt my left foot hurting again, and it came to a point where I dragged my feet along just to lessen the pain. 2 whole days of walking is more than enough for me.. haix.. Had to go back quite early coz I was totally shacked from the activities for the past 2 days. I went back and slept late after the seminar. Woke up early for work the next day..

Looking back, i regret not spending more time with her, but I couldn't take it anymore. Gotta go before I collapse..

Just noe bumped into 2 people.. I happen to reach Jurong East MRT and waited for the middle train to appear, then I spotted Munirah. She is still the same person I know, and she cut her hair short with a bob. We chatted about the rest, and updated each other on what we had been doing all the while..

We stopped together on CCK Mrt, and we exchanged numbers. Hope to keep in touch with her. As I walked past the bus stop opposite Lot 1, I bumped into a familiar person. Amir, my NPCC senior. He was walking his familiar stride of his, and I was staring into space when I spotted him. Took a double take when he walked past, giving me a barely concealed delirious joy in his smile.

I grinned at him back, but too bad.. we didn't exchange numbers. Drat it.

But Faisal still rocks my world..
